Share this articleNazarbayev University hosted the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AVC Group LLP and the official opening of the AVC Hackathon.
The MoU formalized the parties’ intentions to establish strategic cooperation in the fields of education, innovation, and career opportunities for students.
“Collaboration with leading industry partners allows our students not only to develop practical skills but also to become part of real-world projects that shape the future of key economic sectors,” noted NU President Professor Waqar Ahmad.
On behalf of AVC Group, the document was signed by Chief Executive Officer Nurken Mirzabekov. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of partnership with NU for training a new generation of professionals and implementing advanced technologies in Kazakhstan.
Following the signing ceremony, the AVC Hackathon was officially launched with the participation of NU students. The company allocated a prize fund of 5 million tenge, which was distributed among three winning teams. Participants were offered challenges in developing AI chatbots, mobile applications, data visualization tools, industrial analytics, and financial modeling solutions.
The collaboration between NU and AVC Group reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening ties with industry, creating new opportunities for applied learning, innovation, and the professional growth of students.
