Nazarbayev University's School of Engineering and Digital Sciences is now accepting applications for its new Master of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Science program.

This innovative hybrid program is designed to equip professionals not only with the skills to apply existing AI tools but also with the mindset to shape the future of the field. Graduates will be prepared to implement responsible and transparent AI solutions across critical sectors, including healthcare, finance, and public administration.

The application deadline is July 31, 2025. To support talented applicants, the University is offering a limited number of full scholarships, which cover tuition for two years, a monthly stipend, and health insurance.

"Artificial Intelligence (AI) today represents more than a collection of advanced technologies—it is a transformative force reshaping critical domains such as medical diagnostics, industrial process optimization, and economic and business modeling. Our objective is to equip students with the ability to approach complex problems with both technical rigor and a strong sense of social responsibility. We aim to develop highly skilled AI professionals who are not only proficient in cutting-edge methodologies but also ethically grounded in their application across diverse real-world contexts," said Dr. Yazici Adnan, Chair of the Department of Computer Science.

The curriculum blends rigorous theoretical training with hands-on experience. Core courses in the program include data science, theory and practice of machine learning, big data analytics, probabilistic methods and statistics, as well as artificial intelligence for business analytics. The curriculum also features courses on data collection and interpretation to support decision-making, project management, data-driven innovation, and the implementation of applied AI projects. Special emphasis is placed on data privacy and system interoperability, making graduates particularly in demand in sectors where security and ethics are paramount — such as healthcare, finance, and public administration.

The hybrid format is ideal for working professionals seeking to transition into AI and Data Science without leaving their current careers.
