The University of Minnesota communicated intent to expand its student exchange program with NU.

A delegation from the University of Minnesota, led by Michael C. Rodriguez, Dean of the College of Education and Human Development, visited NU on October 8-9. They met with NU leadership and faculty from various schools to discuss collaboration opportunities between the Kazakh university and their institution, gaining a deeper understanding of Kazakhstan's education system, culture, and history.

The delegation expressed particular interest in sending University of Minnesota students to NU as part of a cultural exchange program. Highlighting the importance of inclusivity and diversity in American education, they encouraged their students to broaden the range of countries for study and to actively explore the cultures and nations of Asia.

During the visit, the American professors also conducted a series of workshops on educational measurements, intercultural competence for globally engaged universities, and the STEM integration.
